Sunday Gatherings

Chapelwood gathers for worship every Sunday morning at 10 AM at
201 N Girls School Rd. We'd love to have you join us this Sunday!

Here's what our Sunday gatherings look like:

Bible
From the first note we sing to the last breath of the benediction, we want every part of our gathering to be full of and formed by God's Word.

Gospel
We gather each Sunday to celebrate the good news that Jesus has rescued us by his death and is now risen and reigning as King! This good news shapes what we do and how we do it - from the songs we sing to the prayers we pray to the way we care for one another.

Music
We sing a mix of old and new songs that are biblically faithful and full of praise for God and his grace.

Preaching
We typically go through books of the Bible, studying a passage each week. Our aim is to see the greatness of Jesus in every sermon and to see how the truths in that passage are meant to affect the way we live.

Prayer
We will pray multiple times throughout the service, declaring God's glory, thanking him for his kindness, and asking for his help. We also want there to be an atmosphere of prayer that pervades the whole service so that we are talking to God as we sing songs, hear his Word, and take the Lord's Supper.

The Lord's Supper
We take the Lord's Supper the first Sunday of each month to remember Christ's atoning death and to eagerly anticipate his return. We also do this together to remind us of our identity as members of one body in Christ.

Giving
As part of our worship, we take an offering each week. In the New Testament, giving is a worshipful response to the gospel. The good news of Jesus motivates us toward generosity, eager to support the mission of God through our local church and the spread of the gospel to all nations. If you're a visitor to Chapelwood, we don't expect you to give. We're simply glad to have you join us.
