At Chapelwood, we’re not trying to be different or unique. Our vision is the same as every other gospel church in every time and every place. As those who have been rescued and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, we want to bring him glory.
We seek to do that in three main ways: worship, community, and mission.
We are all about Jesus Christ. He is our greatest joy and highest treasure. We delight in the outrageously good news that through his life, death, and resurrection Jesus rescues sinners, gives us new life in him, and transforms us by his grace. Jesus and this gospel are the center of everything we are and do. We gather together regularly to rehearse this good news, hear God’s word, sing his praises, and pray to him.
This new life in Christ isn’t meant to be lived alone. That’s why, through the gospel, God has made us members of a new family called the church where we love and serve one another. Our church life is intentionally simple to allow time for these rich, gospel-centered friendships where we help each other enjoy and follow Jesus together. As a gospel community made up of people from all ages, backgrounds, and occupations, we want to demonstrate the love of Jesus through our love for each other (John 13:35).
We want to see the gospel change lives, families, and neighborhoods around us. So together we seek to point people to Jesus by telling them the good news and serving them with love—for their good and God’s glory. Our desire is to see Jesus worshiped as the true King both here in Indy and to the ends of the earth!
