"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another..." Colossians 3:16

At Chapelwood, we want to be a people who are filled with and fueled by the gospel word of Jesus Christ. We want that word to dwell in us richly as a church family, and we want to speak the truth of that word to one another in love as we grow up into Christ and our body builds itself up in love. (Eph. 4:15-16)

This blog is one small way we hope to do that. Different members of Chapelwood will share reflections and encouragments from Scripture, as we strive to excel in building up the church. We hope it helps you trust and treasure Jesus above all!

Hope Comes from Living in the Scriptures (Part 1)

"For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." Romans 15:4 Are you filled with hope today? This is God's great desire for you. But sustained, confident, expectant hope is not automatic. It requires us to be active and attentive and responsive. This hope c...

Remember His Embrace

"And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants, 'Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and pu...

Don't Be Anxious About Your Life

"And he said to his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And w...

The Shepherd in the Shadow
